Jobs:
serious efforts to protect and create jobs, for example in areas
with new opportunities like tourism, energy, recycling and Information
Technology
Health Services: no further cuts in services in Tallaght hospital,
proper provision of services in local health centres
High Standards: Accountability and responsibility from those in authority
Better Planning: a stronger voice for local communities in planning
decisions that affect them, supporting sustainable development, not
developer-led property speculation
Heritage: preserving and developing natural, historical and cultural amenities
Education: ensuring adequate school places and buildings, defending
children and schools from the kind of vicious cutbacks they are being
forced to take at present
Facilities: big improvements in facilities for groups such as
children, young people, people with disabilities and older people
Transport: developing a better, more integrated public transport
service, reverse Dublin Bus cutbacks, review taxi provision
Recycling: introduction of brown bins for vegetable-type wastes as
soon as possible, expansion and improvement of other recycling
facilities
